A weekly refuse collection service operates in the townsites of
Donnybrook, Balingup, Kirup, Mullalyup and Yabberup. Properties
zoned "rural residential" in Argyle, Balingup, Donnybrook and Upper
Capel localities, and properties adjoining the Donnybrook-Boyup
Brook Road are included as prescribed areas for the weekly refuse
collection service. Properties outside of the prescribed refuse
collection areas located on the service route may elect to utilise
this service.
On commencement of the service the property owner will be
issued with a 240L green mobile garbage bin. The bin remains the
property of the refuse contractor.
The townsites of Donnybrook, Balingup, Kirup, Mullalyup are
also prescribed areas for recycling collection. Properties included
in the service area are supplied with an additional 240L green
mobile bin with a yellow lid for recyclable materials only.
The bin remains the property of the recycling
contractor.
The charge applicable for these services are included on the
annual rate notice for properties. An interim rate notice will be
issued for properties on a pro-rata basis where either the service
is commenced or finalised after issuing the annual
notice.
Collection Days:
Refuse is collected every week. Recyling is collected
fortnightly, on the same day as refuse collection.
